1956 - WAMBANUMBA SHORT CIRCUIT
Wambanumba Short Circuit track was a 8/10 mile kidney shaped track, The track was built and operated by the Young Motor Cycle Club on land graciously provided to the club by Mr Robert Tout, Mr Tout officially opened the venue on the 12th of May 1956.

Peter Sheilds recalls: My farther John or Johnnie as he was known raced bikes in the 1950's (before I was born) and then a speedcar in the Riverina in the late 1960's.
