1935 - HAWAII SPEEDWAY.
Hawaii Speedway opened in 1935 at the old Ward Airport site. The track was a 1/5th mile dirt oval speedway and as it became quite popular, it did attract some big name drivers from the mainland.
Racing did continue through until 1941 when the world wide ban was introduced, because of World War 2, The track did not reopen again after the end of the war.
