2018 - PERTH MOTORPLEX SPEEDWAY / DRAGS / BURNOUTS 27th October 2018
The Perth Motorplex got it season underway on Saturday the 27th of October 2018 with a mixed bag of entertainment, Featuring Drag Racing, a Speedway program and a Burnout competition, In a brave move the management team reduced the normal gate price to 420.00 per adult and kids free, It appeared this plan may have worked as the venue was packed. Some absolute purist may have felt a bit robbed on the night as there preffered choice of motorsport had limited track time with such a busy format.
As far as the speedway program went the Solos and Sidecars made a welcome return racing on the inner track.

2018 - PERTH MOTORPLEX SPEEDWEEK ROUND 126th December 2018Speedweek is the most hectic time of the year for sprintcar racers in WA, 4 race meeting in the matter of a week, Round one here at the Motorplex, Round two at Collie Speedway the following night, Round three back here at the Motorplex and the Grand final at Bunbury City Speedway.
The display of racing was fantastic on the night, as always the Late Model sedans

stole the show as far as action went, The supporting Speedcar's struggled as far as there car count went, The program was also supported by Formula 500's and V6 Wingless Sprints.
With the bulk of the nights program out of the way and while in the 23rd lap of the Sprintcar feature the red lights were brought on after local youngster AJ Nash found himself in a bad situation after taking out a section of the catch fence on top of the pit gates in turn three. The damage to the fence was that great that the rest of the race meeting had to be called off, robbing the Late Models of there feature race. There didn't seem to be any problem with this as the main focus at this point was the well being of young AJ.

The Perth Motorplex hosted round three of WA verses the USA Sprintcar Speedweek on Saturday the 29th of December.
It was a night to remember for local star Jason as he wrapped up the feature on the night.

Geoff Kendrick has partnered with some of the best sprintcar driver ever and won a lot of race's, Iam sure he would be proud of what he has achieved over the years, Iam also guessing that going by the open affection that he shows to his family and that beaming smile, that Geoff is so proud of the performance that Jason put in on a regular basis.
