Bob Tattersall USA wins World Championship.

And what a win is was, The Royale was packed full of speedway fans ready for a thrilling night of Speedcar racing.

The night burst into life with the fabualise Solos and Sidecar on the raceway with a large round of nail biting action. Then came the pre final events for the speedcars, with that over and done with, the cars rolled out of the gates for the World 30 lap final.

USA driver Bob Tattersall went in as the clear favorite and did not fail his loyal fan's, easley winning, leading home Bob Greentree in 2nd, Peter Cuneen 3rd, and Johnny Harvey for 4th.

CHRISTMAS DERBY to Park

Kev Park has tonight won the Sydney Royal Christmas Speedcar Derby in front of a packed crowd. Park crossed the finish line in the 15 lap final, ahead of Peter Johnson and John Harvey in third.

In addition to the Derby victory, Park also won the Speedcar Handicap final, breaking the track record in the process.

Wollongong driver Alan Saunders won the Stock Car race. Bill Richards won the Solo Handicap Final. While Bob Smailes won the Sidecar Handicap Final.
