1920's - RITCHIE COUNTY FAIRGROUND
Speedway racing commenced at the fairgrounds in the late 1920's, At that stage the track ran under the name of Ritchie County Fairgrounds, The track did close prior to the outbreak of World War 2.

1945 - RITCHIE COUNTY SPEEDWAY
The Speedway did re-open again after world war 2, running under the name of Ritchie County Speedway.

1964 - PENNSBORO SPEEDWAY
Now named the Pennsboro, the venue became the premier dirt track in the area, hosting Late Models on a regular basis.
The tracks biggest event was the Hillbilly 100.
The venue closed in 1997, but re-opened in the year 2000 only to close again in 2002.
