1910 - CANTERBURY RACECOURSE SPEEDWAYIt is believed that motorcycle racing events were being held at Canterbury Racecourse as early as 1910, These annual meeting were being held there as the proceeds went to help build the Hospital at Canterbury, The racing was controlled by the Motor Cycle Club of New South Wales.

1913 - CANTERBURY RACECOURSE SPEEDWAY
December the 13th 1913 saw the 3rd running of the annual event.
1913 - Start of the 4th heat for the 5 lap all-comers race. Photo: unknown.
The final event was won by Reg Pearce on a 2 1/4hp Speedwell - FA Rose was 2nd on a 6hp Speedwell and Frank Miller was third on 2 3/4hp Douglas.
