1929 - NORTH WESTERN MOTORCYCLE CLUBSpeedway motorcycle racing at the Wivenhoe Showgrounds came about because a bunch of riders got together to form the North Western Motorcycle Club.
Some events were held at the 1/2 mile dirt track throughout 1929 and 1930.
After 1930 the club shifted its attension away from speedway and towards Road Racing events around the streets of Burnie.
