1969 - ST TAMMANY RACEWAY
St Tammany Raceway originally opened in 1969 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway track. Most of the efforts put into the venue's program centered around Stock Car racing mainly. After years of struggle the track did close down.

1991 - ST TAMMANY RACEWAY
In the year of 1991 the track did reopen, this time as a 3/8 mile dirt oval speedway. From its reopening right through until it finally closed during 2019. The venue did struggle with money, that being the lack of it, Insurance issues and flooding also did not help.
Ownership was changing on a regular basis and so was the tracks name, such as A1 Speedway, B&D Speedway, M&M Hickory Speedway and LA 36 Speedway.
