1930 GREENVILLE SPEEDWAY
The 1/2 mile banked dirt oval track opened on the 4th of July 1930, It operated through to 1942 when it closed due to World War 2, After the war the track reopened on the 3rd of August 1947, Later closing again in 1948.
The track was again reopened on the 17th of June 1951, operating only until 1952.

1946 SPEEDWAY AUTO THEATRE
The Drive Inn Theatre was built and opened in 1946, During its years of operation in July of 1967, a 24 year old woman working in the ticket booth was shot in the throat and later died in hospital, The murder still remains a cold case today, The Drive Inn closed in the mid 1980's.
