1964 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY 16th January 1965Bob Sharpe is our Australian Champion.New South Wales solo rider Bob Sharpe has tonight become Australia's latest champion after he won the Australian Speedway Solo Championship here at the Sydney Royal.
New South Wales have stormed home to fill the first three positions in the championship. Behind Sharpe was Brian Collins and in third Bill Bryden.

Solo's, Sidecar's, Speedcar's including New South Wales Speedcar Championship. 13th November 1965.Brian Meyers is New South Wales Speedcar Champion.Well tonight at the showground it was the running of the 1965 / 1966 New South Wales Speedcar Championship, all the guns were there, But it would be Brian Myers that would impress during the heats and the feature with multipul wins and quick time in the Doherty Holden powered machine.
Myers crossed the finish line in the final some yards in front of Brian Cunneen, Johnnie Stewart in third, Peter Bowland in fourth and Wal Brooker in fifth place.

1965 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. Solo's. Sidecar's. Speedcar's & Hot Rod's. 20th November 1965.George Tattnall wins the Hot Rod Handicap.The Hot Rod division used tonight as a shakedown to the upcoming five hundred pound Derby with qualifying starting next week. The feature event tonight went to George Tatnall ahead of Don Fortune.
In the rest of the program Ted Preston and C Green would win the Sidecar handicap final. Bob Sharpe had no problems taking out the Solo Handicap final, while Wal Brooker claimed the Speedcar feature win.
