1983 - SOONER INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY.
Sooner International Raceway opened in 1983 as a 1/2 mile paved oval speedway with a 1/4 mile dirt oval built on the infield.
Both tracks were short lived, only one race meeting was held on the dirt track and a handful on the pavement before the track closed in 1984.
The track did reopen again in 1987 but only lasted that season before closing again.

1992 - SOONER INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY.
In 1992 another opening, but this time with success. Competitor and Fan numbers were increasing, but the crowds, traffic and noise was interfering with a nearby airport. So sadly in the year 2000 the speedway was forced to close.
