1934 - McCARTY SPEEDWAY
McCarty Speedway was built in 1934 on a parcel of land known as Wright Park as a 1/2 mile dirt oval, It operated in this form until the 6th of September 1941 when it closed.
The track re-opened again in 1948 but only stayed open until 1952 when it closed again.
In 1953 the venue re-opened as a 1/4 mile flat dirt oval track that continued to operate until 1965, when the track was badly damaged because of flooding.
In 1965 the track was once again rebuilt, this time to a 3/8 mile banked dirt oval, which ran up until 1994 when it closed, The track has also been known as, Dodge City Speedway and Wrights Stadium.
