1950 - MYRTLEFORD MOTOR CYCLE CLUBSpeedway racing in Myrtleford began on the old, now long gone Trotting track. The track was a big one mile in circumference.

1952 - MYRTLEFORD SPEEDWAY
The speedway was closed down in 1952 after three death's in the same week, Ironically these death's were not on a race day, but all while practicing on the track in the lead up to the annual Boxing Day Carnival.
A smaller new track was built covering what used to be turns three and four of the former one mile track.
