1979 - MONARO SPEEDWAY.
Monaro Speedway was built within the grounds of the Fairbairn Park Motorsport complex, later on the name of the speedway was changed to the Fairbairn Park Speedway.

1979 - FAIRBAIRN PARK SPEEDWAY.
This speedway track previously know as Monaro Speedway operated as Fairbairn Park Speedway while the car racing was being held until it closed.

The nearby motorcycle club would sometimes run special meetings on the speedway track, and remaming the track Dirt Sport Speedway.

2005 - DISASTER HITS THE COMPLEX
Parts of the Fairbairn Park Complex was closed down in 2005 after an unnamed party moved in asbestos contaminated soils from a holding yard in Mitchell and mixed it into the existing soil as well as built noise abatement mounds at the motocross track.
This act caused the closure of the Canberra Kart Club, the SDMA Hillclimb and the Dirt Track Racing Club.
