1947 - BALLARAT AIRFIELD CIRCUIT.
Motor racing organised by the Light Car Club of Australia and the Victorian Sporting Car Club commenced on a 3.2 mile layout at the Ballarat Airfield on the 27th of January 1947.

Motor racing returned to the airfield on the 26th of January 1950 and 1951, also again in 1953, 1961 saw the running of the Victorian Trophy Race.

The stock closed .cars pull away from a Le Mans start. Whiteford ( Austin A90 ) and Damman ( Citroen ), who finished first and second respectively, have a good start, The veteran Terraplane coupe on the right is driven by Max Passmore.
