1983 - SIX RACEWAY
Lost Dirt Tracks facebook feature
From the time the track opened, it was a facility that was constantly opened and closed and under new management. Unfortunatley its life was met with a lot of struggle.
It first opened as a 1/4 mile dirt track in 1983. It was short lived as it was closed down in 1988. There it sat dormant until it reopened again in 1994. This period was the most successful period. Running mostly Stock Cars and Modifieds. It did draw healthy crowds that kept the gates open.
After it closed down in 2006, it never got going properly again. Constant name changes and change of operators. This track went through so many name changes, it was also known as, Angelo Speedway, Rolling Thunder Raceway, Race City USA, Road Runner Speedway and 2105 Speedway. The track finally closed down in 2011 were it was replaced with a Kart track.
