1935 - COLUMBUS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Columbus Motor Speedway was opened up as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway within the Bartholomen County Fairgrounds in 1935.
The track was known for its Stock Car and Midget racing, then came World War two and the track closed in 1941.

1946 - COLUMBUS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
After the war the track did reopen, also adding a 1/4 mile dirt oval within the bigger half mile oval. The venue continued to operate through until 1973 when it was closed down and the land sold off.
