1960's - BARBERVILLE TRACK
Prior to the evolution of what we know today as Volusia Speedway, The site was a very basic, sandy 1/4 mile track that old Jalopies raced on. That was until a Korean War Veteran by the name of Benny Corbin, who was originally out of Indiana were he raced Midgets and Sprintcars, came to Barberville and saw the potential in the old track.
Corbin purchased the property and so that how the journey started on the fantastic speedway track.
