Built behind a drag strip, a new group led by speedway star Barry Butterworth began construction on the 1/3 mile dirt oval track.
The following year it opened and they had built a track with high banking for high speeds, The racing was amazing, The program included Sprintcars, Saloons and Midgets amoungst others.
Barry stopped promoting after the first year but the track continued its success through to the mid 1990's, Slowly the track lost some of its prestige, less cars were racing each night and this reflected in less fans attending, The track would close in the year 2000.
