1952 - GOONOOWIGAL TT CIRCUITThe Goonoowigal TT Circuit which was located about four to five killometres south of Inverell on the left of Tingha Road opened on the 27th of December 1952.
The track was constructed and run by the Inverell Motor Cycle Club.

The 1/2 mile dirt circuit was "dust proofed" with 2,500 gallons of waste oil collected from local garages.
There were 58 riders nominated from various New South Wales and Queensland clubs. There were estimated to be 4,000 spectators in attendance on the day.

1953 - GOONOOWIGAL TT CIRCUIT 2nd January 1953
The 2nd of January TT meeting in 1953 drew a crowd of some 3,000 on the day, once again rider's were in attendance from various New South Wales and Queensland clubs
1953 - QUEENSLAND NEWSPAPER REPORTED
Because of the success of the Queensland riders on the day, a Queensland newspaper picked up on there boys dominance and printed the days results.
