OUYEN RECREATIONAL RESERVE

The Victorian town of Ouyen which is located within the city of Mildura has held there Coronation Day Sports event at the local Recreation Reserve for many years. In 1937 motor cycle racing events were introduced.

A Record number of enteries have been received for the Ouyen Sports Club Coronation Day Sports which will be held on the Recreation Reserve next Wednsday. This, it is beleived, indicates that the 1937 meeting is going to surpass all previous records.

With the appearance of Andy Menzies and Dave Hynes, Australia's Dirt Track Riders, Patrons were assured of plenty of thrills and word has now been received that Les Darby, the present holder of the Australian 2 mile Championship and the Australian 250 Championship and the Victorian All Powers Championship is also coming.

Menzies has just returned from Sydney where he participated in the NSW Speedway Championship. The Dirt Track events are likely to be outstanding.

These speed demons have thrilled dirt track fans all over Australia and are now at their best. Liberal Prizemoney has been provided for all events.

Mr Barry Barrass of Donald is in charge of the Publican's Booth. The Swan Hill Pipe Band have been engaged and will tender selections throughout the afternoon.
