1953 - FIVE FLAGS SPEEDWAYFive Flags Speedway opened in 1953 and is located on Pine Forrest Road Pensacola, the city of Five flags.
The track is a 1/2 mile paved oval and extremely fast with it high banked turns.
Five Flags has hosted many major events and tours over the years, including a Grand National race in 1953 that was won by Herb Thomas in his Fabulous Hudson Hornet.

Other events such as the Nascar Southeast Series from 1991 through to 1997. The ARCA Racing Series from 1992 through to 1996. The X-1R Pro Cup Series from 2001 through to 2003. The ASA National tour in 2002 only. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in 2013 and 2014. In 2019 the ARCA Menards Series returned to Five Flags for that year only. 2020 and the Menards Series East began at Five Flags.
Many divisions run at Five Flags on a regular basis. Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Pro Trucks, Outlaw Stocks, Sportsman, and Pure Stocks. The track normally runs bi-weekly on a Friday night.
Five Flags big signature promotion is the Annual Snowball Derby, which has been run non stop since 1968.
