JOHNNIE TOLAN6th June 1986Johnnie Tolan is best remembered for his exploits in Midget Racing racing in the United States, or as us Aussie's call them, Speedcars. Johnnie was a regular within the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association.
In 1946 Johnnie won forty five feature races, while taking out the Rocky Mountain Association Championship. He backed that up the following year with forty seven feature wins as well as the overhaul championship.
In 1950 Johnnie took out the American Automobile Association Midwest Championship.
During 1952 Johnnie won his first AAA National Midget Championship, as well as another Mid West Championship.
In 1953 Johnnie would make a big impression on the admin of Indy Car when he won the "Night before the 500" feature.
