1927 - SILVER LAKE SPEEDWAY.
Silver Lake Speedway opened up as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway in 1927, utilizing the existing horse racing track in 1927. The running of the motor racing events was a very hit and miss affair, continuing through until 1935 when the only racing at the track would be horse racing.
