1960 - SHIOCTON SPEEDWAY
Shiocton Speedway opened in 1960 as a 1/4 mile dirt oval speedway running Stock Cars.
The track was very popular running on a Sunday afternoon and also on some of the bigger public holidays.
During the mid 1960's it was decided to pave the speedway. It did work for them, but only for a short time as the owner closed the gates after the end of the 1973 racing season and demolished the track.
