SAN GABRIEL VALLEY SPEEDWAY
San Gabriel Valley Speedway opened in 1965 as a 1/4 and 1/2 mile combination. In just there second year of operation's they gained sanctioning from Nascar and were running some big events.
With all there successes one would imagine that the venue would go on and live for-ever, but it didn't, the gates were closed for the final time in 1978.
During its life San Gabriel Valley Speedway was also known as 605 Speedway and Irwindale Speedway, this was in a time that the now named Irwindale Speedway just down the road had been built.
