1948 - SLINGER SPEEDWAY.
Slinger Speedway or Slinger Super Speedway as it was also known opened in 1948, just after the end of World War 2. Initially the track was a 1/5th mile Flat Oval Dirt Oval layout.

1974 - SLINGER SPEEDWAY.
On the 2nd of June at the beginning of the 1974 season the Speedway had gone through a massive rebuild, The track was re-layed as a 1/4 mile, its turns were high banked and the surface was paved.
