1979 - QUECHAN SPEEDWAY
Quechan Speedway opened in 1979 as a 3/8 mile oval dirt track speedway. The program would consist of Stock Cars and Late Model Sedans.
Even though it was concidered a second rate track with very little facillities, it did manage to attract some big names, maybe because of the high speeds that were being turned in.
Scott Bloomquist was possible the biggest name to appear, winning some events. The tracks life was short, it ended up closing down at the end of the 1988 season.
