1957 - LONGVIEW SPEEDWAY
Longview Speedway opened in 1957 as a quarter mile dirt oval track running Stock Car on the program.
The speedway was built within the grounds of the existing Columbia Empire Fairgrounds.

1962 - LONGVIEW SPEEDWAY / TIMBERLINE SPEEDWAY
It was around 1967 that the owners decided to pave the track and lift the profile of the speedway by expanding the schedule in an attempt to attract the big named drivers and there high profile divisions.
During this transition the name of the venue was changed to Timberline Speedway and the spectator and competitor number's began to rise. At its peak the track was hosting Modified and Late Model feature's, with some being sanctioned by Nascar.

1977 - TIMBERLINE SPEEDWAY
It was at the completion of the 1977 racing season and after many years of success for unknown reasons, the speedway was closed down.
