Old Motor Racing Photographs - Australia facebook feature
Mark Riedel recalls: In 1989 Northern Territorian Clive Baxter became the tq Formula 500 Australian Champion with the final being held at Sonic Raceway in Swan Hill Victoria, an amazing feat, using hand controls and concidering that he was wheel chair bound as the result of a competition accident, You will most times find Clive in his rural Darwin workshop repairing and restoring motorcycles and when he is not there he can be found at the Darwin Speedway managing a Formula 500 team and more recently a Sprint Car team.
Clive is an inspiration to us all and testament to the fact that you can be severely disabled but still beat the rest against all the odds, Truly a true champion and the nicest bloke, you'll ever meet, Onya Clive.
