Built for the purpose of horse racing in the 1880's and it was a parcel of landused for concerts and fairs as well as other entertainment.
What makes the track unique to Nebraska was it became the first Motorsport track in the state.
In 1904, it held Nebraska's first motor race ever, It would continue to hold select races through to 1908, when racing stopped and was moved onto the nearby Sunset Speedway.
