1996 - JACK BLAND. Late Model Sedan's.

During a Late Model race in 1996, Late Model racer Jack Bland crashed on the backstretch of the track, when another driver tried to overtake him on the outside after exiting turn two, Jack was moving up the track towards the wall when the car on the outside turned Jack into the wall, thus collecting the track opening where the cars enter and exit the track
The opening ripped the car apart and thrust it into the air where another car hit Jack at
|
high speed, Jack was cut from his car using the jaws of life, as it was his only injury was a broken leg, Even today some describe it as the worst crash in Dirt Late Model history.
