1915 - SPEEDWAY PARKSpeedway Park opened in 1915 as a 2 mile oval high banked board track, The track was constructed in around two months.
All racing was sanctioned by the AAA. This would attract many of the big names in motor racing at the time such as Barney Oldfield, Ralph DePalma, Dario Resta and Louis Chevrolet.
Sadley the track closed in 1918 while going through bankruptcy proceedings.

The track was dismantle shortly after closing and all the timbers from the 2 mile structure were donated to the building of a new hospital on the same site.
