Nazareth Speedway hosted the last points round for the Dirt Champ cars in there National Championship under lights, Mario Andretti went on to win the event.

1981 - NAZARETH SPEEDWAY. RE-OPENS.

1986 - NAZARETH SPEEDWAY. REBUILD.
In 1986 Rodger Penske buys the 1 mile dirt track from the bank and seals the surface with asphalt, other improvments such as portable grand stands were erected. The name of the track is changed to Pennsylvania International Raceway.

1988 - NAZARETH SPEEDWAY 1/2 MILE DIRT OVAL
1988 would see the final year of racing on the 1/2 mile dirt oval, This track will be demolished and built over, Leaving Nazareth as a one only 1 mile paved oval track.
