1930's - ATLAS SPEEDWAY [1]
The first Atlas Speedway was built near whats now Fair Meadows horse track. Built on what is now a parking lot for Fair Meadows Simulcast centre in the 1930's.
Built as a 1/2 mile oval but later shortened to a 3/8 mile oval. Both of these tracks had a 1/5 mile oval within the centres. This track closed in 1973.

1973 - ATLAS SPEEDWAY [2]
It has been reported that the second Atlas Speedway opened around 1973. The location was were Fair Meadows is now.
