1930 - ALBURY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY 5th April 1930.On the 5th of April 1930, Mr Don Fox who was the promoter for the Wagga Speedway got together with the Albury Motorcycle Club to host a motorcycle speedway meeting at the Albury Showgrounds.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------1930 - ALBURY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY 26th December 1930It would be the 26th of December 1930 "Boxing Day" that the next meeting would be held.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------There are no more meetings mentioned in the media until 1948, that's when speedway racing started up at the Albury Sportsground.

1965 - ALBURY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY
Speedway in the showground at Albury re-started again in 1965, The racing was well supported by competitors and spectators with crowd numbers growing at each meeting.
The meeting were run by an unnamed promoter out of Melbourne, only problem was after four meetings when everyone thought that things were going well, the promoter disappeared with all the money and was never seen again.

Des Gillett was a local competitor that raced a very fast 48 series Holden sedan.

Kerry did not race speedway but he did race at the Hume Weir Road Course venue before the roads were sealed.
