2021 - KELLERBERRIN WINDY HILL SPEEDWAY V8 NON WING AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP 18th September 2021WATKINS wins MORRISON heartbreakThe biggest field (12 cars) for a West Australian race meeting made the treck east to Kellerberrin Speedway for the third running of our blue ribbon event.
There was nervousness in the air, the weather was perfect and the public were filling any vantage point around the available space.

problem until it was suggested to disconect the tacho, problem fixed. Mark Cracknell had over fueling issues, Glen Vincent reset the scroll block, a new sump of fresh oil, problem solved. The heat of the day went to heat 3, Outside passing was sensational to watch. Matt Vincent tore a left rear tyre in an incedent with Troy, and was instructed to pull infield due to the flat tyre while leading the race.
Feature Race
Mark threw a fan belt as the green flag dropped, which eventually forced him infield. Alan Meakins had a fire in the cockpit, a fuel line disconnected from the pump during a crash with Lee Redmond. Matt Vincent withdrew from the race due to 2 of the 3 bolts holding the steering wheel to the quick release, shearing after making contact with Ian Watts. Bayleigh Beckingham had oil issues late in the race causing him to slow.
The finishing order at the chequered flag was 1st Matt Watkins, 2nd Bill Stocks, 3rd Rick Morrison, 4th Luke Mewett, 5th Ian Watts, 6th Brandan Rayner, 7th Bayleigh Beckingham, DNF's were recorded by Matt Vincent, Troy Beckingham, Mark Cracknell, Lee Redmond and Alan Meakins.
Unfortunately for Rick Morrison, he was disqualified for not going to the scales after the race, thus moving Luke and all other placegetters up one position.
