SEVEN MILE CREEK
Not long after the Second World War short circuit speedway meetings were held on the banks of a creek at Seven Mile, near Rosewood, just out of Brisbane.
Competitors such as Merv Kingston and Don Timperley were regular competitors, The venue was really not appropriate and the decision to move else-were brought about no objections.

HEIT PARK SPEEDWAY
Land was acquired near Amberley, They named it Heit Park Speedway, it was a massive venue, the track over a mile in length, big sweeping turns, long straights and a couple of dog legs just for good measure, The track was cut out in the paddock, no grandstands, nothing flash at all, spectators rolled up with chairs and tents and settled in along the main straight for the day. People driving by stopped on the roadside and watched, just as many spectators outside as there were inside.

Competitors who raced at Heit Park say that track preparation made it what it was, never at any time did the promoters present the competitors with a rough track.
With speedway booming in the Southern states as well, Interstate competitors made their way to Heit Park for a number of Australian Long Track Championships.

The relationship between the landlord and the promoters eventualy soured and the speedway was returned to cropping land.
A new venue was soon prepared by the Ipswich Motorcycle Club at Trivoli.
