The Packard Motor Company began building this test ground facility in 1926 and had it finished by 1928.

1928 - PACKARD PROVING GROUNDS
A once only exhibition race meeting was held just after the complex opened in 1928. In later years the military would set up camp within the grounds, followed by the Ford Motor Company.
