Brian Moyle recalls: Farther Brian Morrison was perhaps one of the most colourful characters involved in Bunbury Speedway. He was a very generous man who devoted his life to helping out the needy and Destitute.
So it was no surprise when someone floated the idea of plonking Farther Brian into a Demo Derby Car and scaring the shit out of him. So the plan was all the drivers were tuned in. Dont Smash the priest up, he will get scared and just hide in behind the grader, But he didn't, He got stuck into it in his old Worsley. in fact he ended up taking out some cars.
Once the remaining drivers had twigged to Allan Blake's devious plan they turned on Farther Brian and beat the crap out of that poor little car. So i'am fairly sure that the preacher didn't do anymore Demo Derby's he just went away to spread the good word and become famous with charity work. R.I.P Farther.

With the opening of the new Bunbury Speedway on the North Boyanup Road in 1972, Mick had moved on and secured at ride in a very fast EJ Holden owned by local sign writer Ray Freeman, Micks ability in the Holden would catch the eye of a local Bunbury Business man in Kevin Russell from Bunbury TV Services, Kevin brought the ex Gene Welch Camaro off Alf Barbagalo who had only raced the car briefly, The Camaro proved to be very fast but Mick was for ever struggling with the set up in the car and he and the car never reached there full potential.
