1935 - NEWFIELD PARK SPEEDWAY
Newfield Park Speedway opened as a 1/5 mile dirt oval speedway on an existing horse racing track. Midget's were the prefered entertainment.
Newfield Park was one of the first tracks to hold regular AAA sanctioned events. The speedways six year life span was short with its closure after the 1940 season, This may have been brought on with the opening of other speedways in the region.
