NSW State Final of the Craven Filter National Speedcar Championship. 13th January 1973.U.S.A's Hank Butcher wins NSW Speedcars FinalIt was Hank Butcher from the United States of America who tonight has won the 30 lap New South Wales State final of the Craven Filter National Speedcar Championship here at the Sydney Rayal.
Butcher was seated in the number 45 Billy Wells owned Volvo powered machine.
Second to the line was Danny Davidson with third going to Bob Pymble.

1973 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. West Australia v New South Wales Sole Match. Sidecars. Speedcars & Late Model Production Car's. 6th October 1973.The West Australian vs New South Wales solo match set down for tonight has been washed out just prior to the commencement of racing here at the Showground.
Billy Sanders, had been hurriedly recruited by Showground Promoter Owen Bateman to captain the under-powered home team, only hours after his arrival home from the United Kingdom earlier in the week.
The match will not be re-scheduled so each side has been awarded a point each for the abandoned match.
