1984 - BATTLEGROUND SPEEDWAYSince opening in 1984 this track became very popular, very quickly with the drivers and spectators alike. Sprintcars, Late Model Sedans and other divisions all featured on the program.
There were a lot of other tracks operating in

the area at the same time and the competition to attract numbers was fierce. The venue did close down in 2001 but reopened again in 2003. It closed again in 2006. It appears to have reopened again in 2008 but closed again in 2017, and never reopened.
