Drag Racing found its way onto the Public Roads at Kerang, The strip was a full quarter mile layout, and was on the Boort Road almost at Dingwall.

1969 - AUSTRALIAN HOT ROD REPORTED
There were even a few speedway specials, Like Boort native Jack Hacksaw's wild rig.
Its amazing what you find on those country roads --- here "Snoopy" for instance, Road camber didn't seem to worry the unnamed driver who turned on the locals in a big way.
