1919 - NORTHERN WISCONSIN STATE FAIRGROUNDS
Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds got its first taste of motor racing way back in 1919 when the Fairgrounds Board programmed a ten lap race during the annual fair around the big 1/2 mile dirt track. This concept carried through until 1923.

1923 - NORTHERN WISCONSIN STATE FAIRGROUNDS
In 1923 it was decided that motor racing was popular enough to hold stand alone events at the Fairgrounds under the sanctioning of IMCA. These events would only continue through until 1934 when motor racing was dropped off the yearly program.

1947 - NORTHERN WISCONSIN STATE FAIRGROUNDS
In 1947 motor racing recomenced at the Fairgrounds once again under the sanctioning of IMCA, with Midgets, Stock Cars and Sprintcars. After the end of the 1971 season the Fair Board decided to once again cut ties with motor racing.
