Prior to Nambour Speedway unofficial speedway racing meeting were being held at a track on Sugar Road in Maroochydore.
Once a very popular Speedway, Nambour Speedway also known as Yandina Speedway, Wappa Falls Raceway and Sunshine Coast Speedway was a 400 metre clay oval track promoted by Vic Butler.
When the speedway closed racing was moved to the Nambour Showgrounds Speedway.

2013 - NAMBOUR SPEEDWAY - WAPPA FALLS RACEWAY WALKABOUT
As the photographs depict the Raceway has been redeveloped as a housing estate, whilst it all looks very nice the speedway history is gone, it has a quaint little park at the entry of the estate but there is nothing to draw attension to the fact that this estate is apart of Australian motor sport history.

Nambour Speedway or Wappa Falls Speedway was located along Wappa Falls Road between Nambour and Yandina.
