1969 - ROCKHAMPTON SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. 20th December 1969.QLD: 67 defeat GB: 41It was a fantastic night of racing for the bike fans here tonight at the Rockhampton Showgrounds Speedway. and much better if you were a Queenslander.
With all focus on the bikes and the Queensland team taking on the English boys, it promised to and was a ripper program.
The England team was outclassed tonight even with the class line they had, but the Queensland boys really stepped up and got the job done. The score tally for the local's was. Doug White 16, Jim Airey 14, Peter Ingram 12, Steve Reinke 10, Jack White 9 and Bert Kingston 6. For the Poms it was. Tony Clarke 14, Eric Boocock 10, Jimmy McMillan 9, Ray Wilson 5, Arnold Haley 3 and Ken Mckinley no score.
