1800's - BROWN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Brown County Fairgrounds were originally built back in the 1800's for horse racing and a place to hold the annual fair.

1924 - BROWN COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
It was in 1924 that motor racing was introduced as a part of the annual fair, By the 1930's the venue was hosting more regular stand alone race meetings.
World War 2 put an end to motor racing as it did world wide in 1941, but came back in 1946 after the war.
In the early 1950's Stock Cars and Midgets made up the program, but by the late 1950's Stock Car racing was dominating the program.
The sport of speedway enjoyed its success during the 1970's packing in the spectators as well as the competitors, Problem was for what ever reason the fairgrounds board chose to drop all motor racing events.
