1940 - PINES SPEEDWAY
Pines Speedway opened in August of 1940 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway featuring Midget racing, World war two put a stop on racing at the track by 1941.
In 1946 after the war, the track did re-open again with the dirt surface but by the start of the 1947 season the tracks surface had been paved, Jalopy's would soon become the favored class of racing.
The track ran successfully through until 1973 when it closed never to re-open.
