It is believed that this was the first event of its kind in Australia, When in 1912 this 150 mile Motorcycle race was held, The course left from Lord Street in the center of Perth and traveled to York, Northam, Toodyay and back to Perth. It was reported as all on public road's, possible they would have been nothing more than dirt track's.
